[español]6 + 1 Course PlanIn an effort to help students have a clearer picture and a plan for their high school courses, we have developed the 6 + 1 Academic Plan for students. In the coming months, and over the course of your child's time in District 112, you and your child will hear numerous references to planning for their high school courses and beyond. Beginning in the Middle School, students will take Interest Inventories that can be used as a "starting point" for potential career interests. Using information from these inventories, along with conversations with their families, teachers, friends and counselors, students will be able to plan the courses they will take while in Middle School, High School, and even in their Post-Secondary Program.In the coming months, this page will be dedicated to what is being done in your child's school as well as what you as a family can be doing to help build this 6 + 1 Course Plan. We look forward to this combined effort at home and in the school to help your child find a potential career that interest's them, a post-secondary college that offers that program and a path within their high school that prepares them for success in that program.
